To minimize this risk, we recommend trimming the wick to the recommended length and avoiding exposure to direct sunlight or high temperatures. As for the melt rate, our wax is formulated to perform well within a normal temperature range. However, we have not encountered any issues with the melt rate in extreme temperatures during our testing. If you have any further concerns or experiences, please do share. While it’s built to be rugged and water-resistant, we don’t recommend using it in freshwater lakes or rivers. This is mainly because the manufacturer doesn’t provide any specific guidance on its usage in freshwater environments.
As for hand-carling instructions to maintain the waterproof seal, we recommend wiping the torch clean after each use with a soft cloth to prevent any debris from accumulating. Also, avoid exposing the torch to extreme temperatures. Any further questions or concerns, please let us know!
