Underwater Kinetics has been manufacturing dive lights and protective equipment cases in the United States since 1970. Inspect the battery compartment O-ring before every dive - look for flattened sections, nicks from grit, or debris embedded in the seating surface. A clean O-ring with a thin film of silicone grease applied evenly around the full circumference provides reliable sealing. A damaged or dry O-ring is the most common cause of torch flooding. The O-ring inspection routine takes under one minute and eliminates the most frequent cause of torch failure in saltwater conditions.
