What products does Deepblu make?
Deepblu produces wrist-mounted dive computers and a connected dive logging platform called the Deepblu app. The hardware and software are designed as a unified system - the dive computer logs the dive automatically, and the Deepblu app pulls the full profile via Bluetooth the moment you surface, uploading to a cloud-based logbook with site data, depth profiles, and water temperature without manual entry.
What makes the COSMIQ+ different from conventional dive computers?
The COSMIQ+ was one of the first recreational dive computers to build mobile connectivity as a core feature rather than an add-on. Beyond connectivity, it supports wireless air integration via a tank transmitter, shows remaining no-decompression time in large, legible digits on a colour display, and tracks surface air consumption rate in real time - data that previously required separate instruments or manual calculation.
Is the Deepblu platform good for logging dives at Malaysian sites?
The Deepblu community database includes dive sites across Malaysia - Sipadan, Mabul, the Perhentians, Layang Layang, and numerous sites in Sabah and the Peninsula. Community-submitted site information includes photos, depth profiles, and marine life sightings that build up over time, making the platform genuinely useful for trip planning alongside dive logging. Sites logged by other divers become reference points for your own dive planning.
What certification level is the COSMIQ+ designed for?
The COSMIQ+ operates within recreational no-decompression limits and is appropriate for Open Water through Advanced recreational diving. The algorithm manages no-deco limits and ascent rate monitoring for the standard recreational depth range. It is not a technical dive computer - it does not manage decompression stages or multiple gas mixes, which is appropriate for its intended recreational audience.
How does wireless air integration work on the COSMIQ+?
A wireless transmitter - sold separately and compatible with standard DIN and yoke regulator first stages - attaches to the high-pressure port of the first stage. It broadcasts tank pressure continuously throughout the dive. The COSMIQ+ display shows current tank pressure alongside a calculated remaining dive time based on your actual breathing rate at the current depth, updating in real time as your consumption rate changes with depth and exertion.
What happens to my dive data if I lose or replace my COSMIQ+?
Because dive profiles sync to the Deepblu cloud platform rather than residing only on the device, your full logbook history persists independently of the hardware. Replacing or losing the computer does not delete logged dives - the history remains accessible in the app. The cloud storage also means your logbook is accessible from any device where you are logged into the Deepblu app.
