While it’s not completely waterproof, it does have IPX7 certification, which means it can withstand being submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes without sustaining damage. This is because the internal components get properly exercised and configured, leading to better performance. However, please note that the GSM and VHF functionality uses mobile signal strength and provides a better signal where service providers offer these signal-strength services. It is worth mentioning that, whether you use the device more often or not the signal is going to become weaker with distance from cellular and cellular tower.
