How does wireless air integration work on Suunto computers?
A wireless pressure transmitter screws into the high-pressure port of the regulator first stage and broadcasts tank pressure throughout the dive. Compatible Suunto computers display current tank pressure and a calculated remaining dive time based on your actual surface air consumption rate at the current depth. The calculation updates in real time as consumption changes with depth and exertion level.
What happens to Suunto dive log data if the computer is lost?
Suunto computers that use the Suunto App sync dive profiles to the Suunto cloud after each dive. Losing or replacing the computer does not delete the dive log history - all synced dives remain accessible in the app. The app also stores the dive plan and algorithm state between dives, maintaining the multi-day dive history used by the RGBM algorithm for accurate no-deco limit calculation on successive days.
What Suunto computer suits technical diving beyond recreational limits?
The Suunto EON Steel Black supports up to five gas mixes, full decompression management, and trimix use - covering the full range from recreational nitrox diving to air decompression diving to trimix technical diving.
