Are the Gull Coco Open Heel Fins suitable for beginners in snorkeling?

The open heel design provides a comfortable fit, and the fins themselves are easy to use underwater. That being said, we would encourage you to practice using your fins in calm, shallow water before taking them out in open ocean or snorkeling in deeper waters. Can I use the Gull Coco Open Heel Fins for scuba diving?

Thank you for reaching out, Jeremy. Unfortunately, the Gull Coco Open Heel Fins are designed for snorkeling and general water activities, but they are not suitable for scuba diving. While they provide excellent propulsion and control in the water, they don’t provide the necessary protection and support for high-pressure scuba diving. I’d be happy to recommend some other options for scuba diving fins if you’re interested!

I’ve used the Gull Coco Open Heel Fins for both snorkeling and kayaking, and they’re absolutely great. Although they’re open-heeled, I find them very comfortable to wear. One thing that could be improved is the overall weight of the fins, making them easier to carry around.
