The Mares Smart Apnea is a dedicated freediving and spearfishing computer built to be worn as an everyday watch. Designed specifically for breath-hold divers, it tracks depth, dive time, surface recovery time, descent and ascent speeds, and water temperature, with programmable depth alarms up to six independent levels — critical for freedivers who use specific trigger depths for freefall or mouthfill equalisation. A hydration reminder alarm is also included, designed for spearfishermen who surface-rest between dives. Memory stores up to 9 dive sessions at 1-second sampling, with PC/Mac download capability. Two-button operation makes it simple to adjust between dives. For Malaysian freedivers training in Tioman’s blue water column or competing at Pulau Perhentian, the Smart Apnea gives you the session-level data that a scuba computer can’t.
