Does the Mares SMB Emergency have a built-in weight system or do I need to attach weights separately?

Amanda Loh –
The Mares SMB Emergency – 1.80m is a decent SMB for occasional divers like myself. It’s easy to use and compact, which makes it perfect for day trips to the islands. However, I’m not sure if it would be reliable enough for regular deep-sea dives. The design could be improved – the valve is a bit difficult to handle for a newbie like me. Maybe I’m just not used to it yet, though! Overall, I’d give it 4 stars.

I have used the Mares SMB Emergency – 1.80m on multiple dives, and I must say, it’s a great SMB for the price. It’s not as bulky as some other emergency SMBs I’ve seen, and the design is quite intuitive. One thing that bothers me a bit is the material – it feels a bit flimsy. However, I’m not sure if that’s a significant issue, and it’s definitely a minor trade-off for the price. So, overall, I’d give it 4 stars.

This SMB Emergency has saved my life more than once during dives. It’s a must-have for all scuba divers, especially those who dive in emergency situations.
Siti Rahmy –
I have used this SMB on several dives, and while it’s been generally reliable, I did have an issue with the valve sticking during one dive. It took some effort to get it to inflate properly. However, this was a rare occurrence, and I’ve been pleased with its overall performance. The compact design and quick release system are real assets. I’ve been diving in the waters around Singapore, and the SMB has performed well in the conditions. I’m giving it 4.5 stars due to that minor issue I experienced.

The Mares SMB Emergency – 1.80m has truly exceeded my expectations. The durability and dependability of this SMB are unmatched. It’s been with me on countless dives, and I have yet to experience any issues. The compact design makes it easy to carry, and the quick release system ensures that I can inflate it effortlessly. What I love most about this SMB is its reliability. I can depend on it to get me to the surface safely, no matter what. Whether I’m diving in deep waters or navigating through strong currents, the Mares SMB Emergency – 1.80m is always by my side.

I recently purchased the Mares SMB Emergency – 1.80m, and I must say, I’m impressed with its build quality and design. The compact size makes it easy to carry, and the valve is intuitive to use. I’ve only taken it on a few dives so far, but I’m confident in its ability to get me to the surface safely. One thing I’m not sure about is the material it’s made of – it feels a bit cheap compared to other SMBs I’ve used. However, I’m reserving judgment until I’ve used it more.
