Chia Kok Ann –
I’m so glad I purchased this wetsuit for my husband!
It’s kept him warm and comfortable in the water, even in the colder months. My only criticism is the minor snagging at the seams. Hopefully, it’ll get better with wear!
Lim Yin Chuen –
This wetsuit is just what my son needed for his scuba lessons!
It fits perfectly and he loves the design. We’ll definitely be looking for Mares products for our future diving gear needs.

Does the Mares Scuba Ranger Twin Wetsuit Long John (Junior) provide thermal insulation in areas where the water temperature drops rapidly?
As a diver who dives in cold waters, I need a wetsuit that can keep me warm!
Junhao Lo –
Yes, the Mares Scuba Ranger Twin Wetsuit Long John (Junior) is designed to provide thermal insulation in cold water conditions. Its 3mm front and back panels are triple-layered (1mm neoprene on both sides with 1mm of bubble cushioning in the middle) for added warmth and flexibility. The long john design also helps to minimize heat loss. However, the level of thermal insulation can vary depending on individual factors, such as water temperature, activity level, and personal physiology. We recommend using this wetsuit in temperatures between 12-19°C (54-66°F) for optimal performance.
Angeline Low –
Is the Mares Scuba Ranger Twin Wetsuit Long John (Junior) suitable for both calm and choppy waters?
As a beginner diver, I’m eager to try it out but I’m hesitant without knowing its capabilities!
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for your review, Angeline! The Mares Scuba Ranger Twin Wetsuit Long John (Junior) is designed to provide warmth and flexibility for junior divers, and it’s suitable for both calm and choppy waters. However, as a beginner diver, we recommend you check the wetsuit’s thickness and material, which is 7mm or 9mm of neoprene. This will give you a better idea of its performance in different water conditions. Additionally, it’s always a good idea to consult with a diving instructor or experienced diver before diving in choppy waters.
