Katy Tan –
Ive owned the Mares Hybrid Airtrim BCD for 6 months now and Im thoroughly impressed. The BCD is extremely comfortable to wear, allowing for a full range of motion under the water.
Jasmita De Silva –
Does it support the diver as a result of a slow or fast descent? Is this important to those who needs buoyancy adjustments in an emergency?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for your question, Jasmita De Silva! The Mares Hybrid Airtrim BCD is designed to provide excellent control and comfort during dives, regardless of the descent rate. The BCD’s airtrim system allows for easy inflation and deflation in any position, which is beneficial in emergency situations. However, the slow or fast descent capabilities are more related to the diver’s skill level and technique than the BCD’s features. That being said, the Mares Hybrid Airtrim BCD is a reliable choice for divers who need buoyancy adjustments in an emergency.

How long does it take to charge the BCD? Can we enable cloud sync for buoyancy settings?
Imran Hanafiah –
Hello Raymond, thank you for sharing your questions about the Mares Hybrid Airtrim BCD. The charging time for the BCD depends on the type of battery you’re using, but typically, it takes around 2-4 hours to fully charge a standard battery. Unfortunately, cloud sync for buoyancy settings is not a feature available on our current model. However, you can manually sync your setting by accessing the BCD’s menu and following the on-screen instructions. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please let us know. We appreciate your feedback!

I bought this BCD thinking it would be perfect for my freediving adventures. After using it for a few dives, I must say I’m thoroughly impressed with its comfort, fit, and control. However, I do wish it had a slightly more ergonomic design to reduce fatigue during long dives. Nonetheless, it’s still a fantastic investment for any serious freediver!
