Unlike previous incarnations, the plus model was an absolute upgrade. New build materials and some thoughtful tweaks to user ergonomics make it entirely more durable and convenient. Which of the configurations – the Scubapro Air II or the Tusa Duo-Air should I go with?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of the Dive Alert DV-3 Plus V.2 Signaling Device! We’re thrilled to hear that our upgrade has met your expectations. Both the Scubapro Air II and the Tusa Duo-Air configurations offer their own unique benefits and compatibility options. The Scubapro Air II configuration is well-suited for those who already use Scubapro gear, providing a seamless and integrated experience. On the other hand, the Tusa Duo-Air configuration offers greater flexibility and compatibility with a wide range of dive computers and regulators. If you’re still unsure, I recommend contacting our support team or reaching out to one of our dive experts who can provide more personalized guidance based on your specific needs.

Does it work when submerged underwater for over 30 minutes? Does it use any specific type of battery? Has the design seen any significant changes when moving from previous versions to the current one?
Junhao Lo –
Hello Esenia, thank you for your questions about the Dive Alert DV-3 Plus V.2 Signaling Device! Our device is designed to work effectively underwater for extended periods, and it can function for over 30 minutes submerged. It uses AAA alkaline batteries, which are widely available and known for their reliability. Compared to previous versions, the current design has seen some improvements, such as enhanced visibility and a more ergonomic grip. However, the core functionality remains the same. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Where are the warning labels about using it in hypoxic conditions and under extreme pressure? How noticeable is the strobe in daylight scenarios?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Dawan. Safety is our top priority, and we’re glad you brought this to our attention. The Dive Alert DV-3 Plus V.2 Signaling Device includes a user manual that outlines the precautions and guidelines for use in various environments, including hypoxic conditions and extreme pressure. The device is designed to signal for help in emergency situations, and it’s essential to follow the instructions to ensure its proper use. Regarding the strobe light, it’s designed to be highly visible in low-light conditions, but we understand its effectiveness in daylight scenarios may be reduced. We’ll take your feedback into consideration and explore ways to enhance the device’s visibility in various lighting conditions.

I recently purchased the Dive Alert DV-3 Plus V.2 Signaling Device and I couldn’t be any happier. This thing has really shown its worth in an emergency, I’m confident the signal will get seen easily. So far it’s performed as expected.
Haider Naidoo –
Overall I’m super pleased with my Dive Alert DV-3 Plus V.2 Signaling Device. The signals it produce can be seen from far away even in low visibility conditions. What I’m not entirely happy with is adjusting the inflation knob takes a bit more force than I thought it would?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for your review, Haider. We’re glad to hear that our Dive Alert DV-3 Plus V.2 Signaling Device is meeting your expectations in terms of signal visibility. Regarding the inflation knob, we apologize for the difficulty you’re experiencing. We recommend checking if the knob is properly seated and if the regulator is fully released before attempting to inflate. Additionally, you can try gently tightening the regulator’s retaining nut as this sometimes resolves the issue. If the problem persists, please feel free to contact us directly and we’ll be happy to assist you further.

I’ve used this Dive Alert DV-3 Plus V.2 Signaling Device on multiple dives and I must say it’s great. The added value of having a backup inflation system is reassuring. The usability is pretty smooth too, that’s one feature I really appreciate. One note for safety – the strap could be a bit more secure, but I’m nitpicking here.
