I recently purchased the Scubapro Compact Pressure Gauge Capsule – BAR and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The gauge is accurate and reliable, making it perfect for divers who need to monitor their depth and pressure safely. However, I wish it came with a carrying case to protect it during transit. Can the gauge capsule be submerged to a depth of 200m without experiencing any adverse effects?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for reaching out to us about the Scubapro Compact Pressure Gauge Capsule – BAR. Our product is designed to withstand regular diving pressure conditions, but we must remind you that the maximum safe operating pressure is 300 Bar. For a depth of 200m, the pressure would be approximately 21 Bar. In theory, the gauge capsule should be able to handle this pressure. However, we cannot guarantee its performance without extensive testing. We recommend following the manufacturer’s guidelines and taking necessary safety precautions to avoid any issues. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

How can I ensure that the gauge remains accurate after regular exposure to water?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for your question about maintaining the accuracy of the Scubapro Compact Pressure Gauge Capsule – BAR. Regular exposure to water can potentially affect the gauge’s accuracy, but we’ve designed it to be durable and reliable. To ensure optimal performance, please clean the gauge regularly with fresh water and apply a thin layer of silicone-based lubricant to the O-ring to prevent corrosion. Avoid exposing the gauge to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures. Proper maintenance will help preserve the gauge’s accuracy and extend its lifespan. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
