What happens when you leave the charger in a humid environment for an extended period? Does the electronics suffer from moisture damage?

We take product performance seriously and can assure you that the Nitecore i4 Charger is designed with protection against moisture damage through a sophisticated circuitry and IP54-rated construction, meaning it can withstand splashing of water. However, prolonged exposure in very humid environments may still be risky. To maintain the best performance and longevity of the charger, we recommend storing the charger in a dry place when not in use. Does the charger automatically shut off when the battery is fully charged or does it continue to draw power?

Thank you for your question, Ryan! We’re happy to clarify that the Nitecore i4 Charger does indeed have an automatic shut-off feature. The charger will automatically turn off when the battery is fully charged to prevent overcharging and reduce energy waste. This feature is a great safety precaution and energy-saving benefit. Please note that this feature only works when the charger is connected to the batteries and not when it’s left with no charging activity for an extended period of time.

In the unlikely event that your charger is damaged during transit or requires repair, we have a robust warranty and support system in place. As for additional costs, our standard warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Any repair or replacement costs associated with accidental damage or misuse, however, will be the responsibility of the customer.

While this charger is an excellent product in many ways, there is one major drawback that prevents me from giving it a full 5-star rating. The LCD display can be quite finicky at times and may require multiple button presses to cycle through the different screens.
