I’ve been using this Mares 15x 1st Stage Regulator for a few months now, and I have to say, I’m extremely satisfied. The compact design makes it perfect for travel, and the second stage is incredibly light and easy to breathe through. The regulator is also very reliable and has met all of my demands at any depth I’ve been at. However, I do wish it came with a more durable case for protection when not in use.

What is the recommended maintenance schedule for this regulator to ensure its longevity and optimal performance?

Thank you for your review, Kevin. We recommend checking and maintaining your regulator at least once a year, or more frequently if used regularly. Here’s a suggested maintenance schedule: every 2 years, dismantle and inspect the first stage, lubricate o-rings and check for any weakness or damage. Replace the O-rings and any damaged parts. For the second stage, inspect and replace the seat and o-rings as needed. We also recommend visually inspecting your regulator before every dive and after each use. This will help ensure optimal performance and longevity.
