Can you guys please make the screen a bit brighter? It’s hard to read in low-light conditions. The dive computer itself is fantastic, though. I’ve had no issues with it so far, and the wireless connectivity is a great feature.

However, you can always use a separate logbook to record your future dives. The Suunto D4i is designed to provide essential dive computer functionality, but it doesn’t offer expandable memory. Does Suunto D4i have an option to sync with my Android device? The wireless connectivity is really appealing to me, and I’d love to be able to track my dives on my phone. One minor issue I’ve encountered is that the screen can be quite slow to respond when I’m scrolling through menu options.

Regarding your question, the Suunto D4i does have a compatibility mode to sync with Android devices, however it only supports Bluetooth connection to select iOS devices as it does not come with a USB interface cable, it has a wireless readout option for your tank pressure and air time. I recommend checking the Suunto Mobile and Suunto D4i mobile app to see if they have an update that will enhance Android compatibility.

Is it possible to download the Suunto D4i data to a computer without the USB cable?

Thank you for reaching out, Rizal. Unfortunately, the Suunto D4i Dive Computer does not support downloading data wirelessly. However, we do offer a solution for you to download your dive data without the USB cable. The Suunto D4i can be connected to a surface computer using Bluetooth, but only with our Suunto DM5 Dive Manager or Suunto DM5 app for Android and iOS devices. The Suunto DM5 app can sync your dive data from the Suunto D4i, and you can transfer it to your computer via Wi-Fi. Please note that you’ll need a Bluetooth connection for this to work.
