I’m blown away by the Suunto D4i’s features, but I do wish it came with a USB interface cable for easier updates.

Can you guys please make the screen a bit brighter? It’s hard to read in low-light conditions. The dive computer itself is fantastic, though. I’ve had no issues with it so far, and the wireless connectivity is a great feature.
Imran Hanafiah –

I’ve been using Suunto D4i for a few months now, and it’s been a solid performer. The only thing I’m missing is an option to set custom alarms for specific stages of my dive. Other than that, it’s been a fantastic experience, and I’ve had no major issues with it.
Leandro Low –
Overall, I’m really pleased with my Suunto D4i experience. It’s been a game-changer for my scuba diving adventures, and I love how customizable it is. If I could change one thing, it would be to add more dive planning features, like being able to set multiple stop depths.
Amara Lim –
I’ve just got back from my scuba diving trip and I must say that Suunto D4i has exceeded my expectations. The freedive features are amazing, and the wireless readout of tank pressure and air time is so convenient. The only thing I’d like to see is an option to set multiple dive profiles.

Is it possible to upgrade the memory on Suunto D4i? I’ve filled up my log book already, and I’d love to keep track of all my future dives. Apart from that, I’m really happy with my purchase – the freedive features are amazing, and the wireless connectivity is so convenient.
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Suunto D4i Dive Computer! Unfortunately, it’s not possible to upgrade the memory of the Suunto D4i Dive Computer. However, you can always use a separate logbook to record your future dives. The Suunto D4i is designed to provide essential dive computer functionality, but it doesn’t offer expandable memory. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you’re enjoying the freedive features and wireless connectivity!

Does Suunto D4i have an option to sync with my Android device? The wireless connectivity is really appealing to me, and I’d love to be able to track my dives on my phone. One minor issue I’ve encountered is that the screen can be quite slow to respond when I’m scrolling through menu options.
Imran Hanafiah –
Hello Lara, thank you for choosing Suunto and for sharing your experience with the D4i dive computer. Regarding your question, the Suunto D4i does have a compatibility mode to sync with Android devices, however it only supports Bluetooth connection to select iOS devices as it does not come with a USB interface cable, it has a wireless readout option for your tank pressure and air time. I recommend checking the Suunto Mobile and Suunto D4i mobile app to see if they have an update that will enhance Android compatibility.
Hazel Chen –
What if the Suunto D4i isn’t water-friendly? Is it waterproof up to 66 meters?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for your question, Hazel Chen. I’m happy to provide information about the water resistance of the Suunto D4i Dive Computer. According to Suunto’s specifications, the Suunto D4i Dive Computer is designed to be water-resistant up to 66 meters or 220 feet. This means it can withstand pressure at that depth, but please note that it’s not designed for diving beyond that limit. Before using the device, make sure you follow all the instructions provided by the manufacturer to ensure proper handling and care. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Rizal Abdul Rahim –
Is it possible to download the Suunto D4i data to a computer without the USB cable?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for reaching out, Rizal. Unfortunately, the Suunto D4i Dive Computer does not support downloading data wirelessly. However, we do offer a solution for you to download your dive data without the USB cable. The Suunto D4i can be connected to a surface computer using Bluetooth, but only with our Suunto DM5 Dive Manager or Suunto DM5 app for Android and iOS devices. The Suunto DM5 app can sync your dive data from the Suunto D4i, and you can transfer it to your computer via Wi-Fi. Please note that you’ll need a Bluetooth connection for this to work.
