I’ve used the Scubapro Tropic Pro 1.5mm Gloves for a few weeks now, and I’m generally happy with them. They’re quite comfortable to wear, and the soft material feels nice against my skin. However, I find that the grip can get a bit slippery when my hands are sweaty.

What is the insulation provided by the 1.5mm thickness? Does it get too warm for tropical conditions?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for your question about the Scubapro Tropic Pro 1.5mm Gloves! The 1.5mm thickness provides moderate insulation to keep your hands warm in cooler water conditions. While the gloves may be suitable for tropical conditions, the 1.5mm thickness might not be enough for extremely hot water. We recommend wearing the gloves in water temperatures between 64°F and 82°F (18°C and 28°C). If you plan to dive in warmer waters, you may want to consider a thinner or more breathable glove option.

I recently purchased the Scubapro Tropic Pro 1.5mm Gloves for my scuba diving trips, and I’m absolutely thrilled with my purchase. The material is super soft and flexible, making it easy to put on and take off. The grip on the palms is also excellent, providing great hold on the dive mask and other equipment.
Rachel Sim –
I have to say, these gloves are definitely one of the best I have come across in the market, they are so soft and comfortable to wear, I’ve worn them for 6 hours straight while scuba diving. My only concern was it broke after 2 months of use.
Jace Loke –
I recently purchased the ‘Scubapro Tropic Pro’ gloves for my scuba diving trips, and I must say they are an upgrade from my previous pair. The fits perfectly and the material is comfortable. What I like most is the durability of the product. However, I had to hand wash them few times to remove the saltwater residue.
Tan Chenhuan –
I’ve been looking for a reliable pair of scuba diving gloves, and I’m really glad I chose the Scubapro Tropic Pro 1.5mm Gloves. The construction is top-notch, and the sealing around the cuff is excellent, preventing any water from entering the gloves even when I’m holding my breath underwater.
Cedric Tan –
After using the gloves for 2 months now, I can confidently say that they are worth every penny I spent on. The grip is amazing, preventing me from dropping any equipment during my dives. However, they started to show some signs of wear on the palms, but I suppose that’s expected.

When choosing a dive glove, how do I know which thickness to go for?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for choosing Scubapro Tropic Pro 1.5mm Gloves, Bryan. When choosing a dive glove, the thickness you select depends on the water temperature. Scubapro recommends the following thickness guidelines: 1-2 mm for warm water (above 80°F/27°C), 2-3 mm for temperate water (68-79°F/20-26°C), and 3-5 mm for cold water (below 67°F/19°C). Consider your dive conditions and personal comfort level to determine the ideal thickness for you.

I am interested to know if these gloves would be suitable for cold water diving?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for your interest in Scubapro Tropic Pro 1.5mm Gloves! While the gloves provide warmth for tropical water diving, they may not be suitable for cold water diving. Scubapro recommends the gloves for water temperatures between 72°F and 82°F. For colder water conditions, we recommend considering gloves with more insulation. If you have any other questions or would like a recommendation, please don’t hesitate to ask.
