I’ve only had the Scubapro Tropic gloves for a few dives, but so far I’m impressed. The reinforced fingers and palm provide a great level of reassurance. However, what are the most critical scenarios where these gloves could be the difference between a safe and an unsafe dive?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves. Your safety is our utmost priority, and we’re glad to hear that the reinforced fingers and palm have given you a sense of reassurance. The Scubapro Tropic gloves are designed to provide warmth and protection in cold water conditions, which can significantly reduce the risk of hand cramps and other related injuries. In critical scenarios, having a reliable pair of gloves like the Scubapro Tropic gloves can be the difference between a safe and an unsafe dive. We would recommend wearing them during dives in exceptionally cold water, when handling gear, or in situations where the risk of underwater obstacles is high. If you have any further concerns or need more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always happy to help. Finally, thank you for being a valued customer, and we hope you’ll continue to enjoy scuba diving!

I was enjoying the “Tropic 1.5mm Gloves” initially, but unfortunately, the seam at the palm started to fray after only a few uses. Still a good product, but some room for improvement.

How long does it take for the gloves to maintain their insulation properties?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for reaching out to us, Khairul! The Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves are designed to maintain their insulation properties for a long time. According to the manufacturer, the neoprene material used in the gloves retains its insulating properties even after multiple dives and exposure to water. However, the lifespan of the insulation can depend on various factors, including usage, storage, and maintenance. We recommend storing the gloves in a dry place and avoiding exposure to direct sunlight to ensure their longevity. We’d be happy to help you with any further questions or concerns.

I recently purchased the Scubapro Tropic gloves to add some warmth to my dives. I have to say that I’m extremely satisfied. The reinforced fingers and palm provide a great level of protection without compromising flexibility. I also appreciate the clear instructions on how to fit and maintain the gloves properly. One minor suggestion would be to include a storage bag for the gloves to keep them clean and organized.

Can you guys tell me more about the material used in the gloves?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for your interest in our Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves! The gloves are made of 40% Neoprene, which provides thermal insulation and flexibility. The reinforced fingers and palm are made of a harder, more durable material to protect against wear and tear. We hope this information helps, please let us know if you have any further questions! Would you like to know more about our other waterproof gloves?

Junhao Lo –
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Scubapro Tropic gloves, Gerald! We’re glad to hear they’re an excellent choice for divers. As for common issues users may encounter, some have reported difficulty putting on and taking off the gloves due to their reinforced design. Are they suitable for scuba diving in tropical waters?
Junhao Lo –
These gloves are designed for scuba diving and snorkeling in warm and tropical waters. The 1.5mm thickness provides flexibility and dexterity while adding protection to your fingers and palms. The reinforced palm and fingertips offer extra durability. We recommend these gloves for tropical waters, as they are perfect for protecting your hands from sharp rocks, coral, or any underwater obstacles. However, the suitability of the gloves also depends on your personal comfort level and the specific conditions of your dive.

Junhao Lo –
Thank you for sharing your positive experience with the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves, Julian. To maintain the material of the gloves, we recommend washing them with mild soap and lukewarm water after each use. Avoid using harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this can damage the material. It’s also essential to dry the gloves naturally and away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. You can find more detailed care instructions on the manufacturer’s website.
