Khristy Lum –
I’ve been using the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves for a few months now, and I must say they’re one of the best gloves I’ve ever used while diving. The material is durable, and the grip is excellent, providing a secure hold on the dive ladders. I’ve used them in tropical waters, and they’ve performed flawlessly.
Ellane Tay –
I’ve been looking for a good pair of gloves to protect my hands from barnacle cuts while diving in tropical waters, and I think the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves are the solution. My only concern is that they might be a bit pricey compared to other gloves on the market.
Hermen Lee –
I was hesitant to spend a bit more on the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves, but they’ve been worth the investment. The fit is comfortable, and the material is incredibly durable. I’ve used them multiple times already, and they still look and feel like new. Highly recommend!

Pearly Teo –
At first, the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves felt a bit clunky until I got accustomed to wearing them while diving. The grip is also very good so that’s a definite plus. What I dislike about it though is the absence of any adjustment mechanism – makes it difficult to attain a tight fit.
Arin Thio –
What I particularly like about the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves is how easily they fit on my hands. They don’t look very impressive in terms of build quality but they somehow get the job done. Should I opt for more expensive ones?
Junhao Lo –
We’re glad to hear that our Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves fit you well! Regarding your question, it ultimately comes down to your personal preference and needs. Our gloves have received great reviews for their functionality and value. While more expensive options may offer additional features, they may not provide the same level of protection and warmth for your hands. If you’re happy with the performance of our gloves, it’s worth considering sticking with what works for you. However, if you’re looking for upgraded materials or additional features, exploring other options might be worth considering. Would you like to share more about your specific needs and preferences?
May Lisanne –
Are the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves waterproof? Has anyone tried using them while surfing?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for your question, May Lisanne. According to our product description, the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves are designed for diving in tropical waters, which suggests they are waterproof to some extent. However, we’d like to clarify this further for you. Unfortunately, we don’t have explicit information on their waterproof rating. Nevertheless, our gloves feature a neoprene construction that should provide a watertight seal, suitable for underwater use. As for surfing, we don’t have any reviews or information on their performance in that specific context. If you’ve had experience with the gloves in surfing, we’d love to hear about it and learn from your insights.

Are there any plans to release lighter versions of the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves? They are a bit too bulky for my preference.

I was still unsure about the durability of the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves before purchasing them. The material feels really affordable but at the same time it’s also quite stretchy, making it suitable for warmer waters. Overall, I’d say they performed as expected, maintaining their warmth without compromising movement.
Chelsea Leong –
Can the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves withstand extremely rough dive conditions?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for your question, Chelsea. While the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves are designed to provide excellent protection against infection-prone finger cuts, they are not intended for use in extremely rough dive conditions. However, they can withstand standard diving conditions and provide a comfortable fit. If you’re looking for gloves that can handle harsher conditions, we recommend checking out our other Scubapro products.
Muhd Akmal –
Will the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves provide adequate protection against cold water snaps during a dive?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for sharing your question about Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves, Muhd Akmal. While these gloves are designed for protection against infection-prone finger cuts in tropical waters, they are not necessarily designed for cold water diving. The 1.5mm thickness of the gloves provides some insulation, but may not be sufficient for cold water protection. We recommend using gloves made of thicker and more insulating materials for cold water diving. Would you like to know more about cold water diving gloves or Scubapro’s offerings for cold water divers?
Cheryl Sim –
What’s the lifespan of the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves if used extensively?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for your question about the lifespan of the Scubapro Tropic 1.5mm Gloves. We can’t provide an exact lifespan, as it depends on how often and how well the gloves are maintained. However, with proper care and regular cleaning, the finger tips can last up to a year or more. On the other hand, the palm area, which is more prone to wear, can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months. We recommend inspecting the gloves regularly for signs of wear and tear and replacing them when necessary to ensure optimal protection for your dives.
