Can anyone provide information on how to properly care for this Scubapro Profile 2.5mm Shorty after I go diving?

To properly care for this shorty, we recommend rinsing it with fresh water after each use to remove any salt or sand residue. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach, as these can damage the fabric. Instead, use a mild detergent and cold water for hand washing. Do not put your wetsuit in the washing machine or dryer, as this can cause it to lose its shape and stretchiness. After washing, gently squeeze out excess water from the shorty without wringing or twisting it. You can then lay it flat on a towel to air dry. However, it can still be used in cold water, but we would recommend it for water temperatures above 15°C (59°F). At 2.5mm, it provides good thermal protection and flexibility in warmer conditions. If you’re planning to dive in colder water frequently, we suggest considering a thicker Shorty or a Wetsuit.

This shorty is indeed designed for warm water use, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work in cooler waters. However, we cannot guarantee its performance in water temperatures below 18°C/64°F. If you’re planning to dive in Dubai, which has a tropical desert climate, you may find the suit suitable for the waters but we recommend checking the current water temperature first to ensure it’s within the optimal range. For cold water diving, we would recommend our Scubapro 7mm or 5mm Shorty. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
