   How do they handle harsh currents? Do they provide sufficient protection for your feet?

While they do provide some protection, they are not intended for harsh currents or cold-water diving. The 3mm neoprene material offers a good balance between flexibility and protection, but it may not be enough for rougher conditions. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a longer ankle collar as an option for this product. However, we may consider this suggestion for future product developments.    Can a mesh fabric ever be too breathable? Is that even a thing?

While it may seem counterintuitive, yes, it is possible for mesh fabric to be too breathable. Mesh fabrics that are over-engineered for breathability may compromise durability or structural integrity. In the case of the Delta Short Boots, we’ve struck a balance between breathability and protection. The mesh panels allow for airflow while providing adequate protection for your feet during snorkeling and diving. If you’d like more information on our design choices, please let us know!
