The quick-release keeper is quite easy to use, it’s been my first snorkeling experience and I had the chance to seamlessly take off and put on the snorkel while underwater.

The purge valve does seem to be problematic at times. When you breathe too shallow, the valve gets triggered and sucks in some of the water. Not much but still a bit of an annoyance under pressure.

The Problue 1238 exceeded my expectations with its totally dry purge snorkel system. I was impressed by the easy adjustment mechanism on the AC-77-5 quick-release keeper and found it to be a massive time saver. However, I did notice that the one-way purge valve could have been designed better for effortless clearing of water. Nevertheless, still a great product!

I purchased this snorkel and was a bit disappointed as the one-way purge valve didn’t clear the water as quickly as I wanted. The AC-77-5 quick-release keeper felt a bit flimsy too. However, it still worked decently.
