To answer your question, the UPF 50+ rating on our Mares Junior Short Sleeves Rashguard provides excellent protection from the sun’s ultraviolet rays. It allows only 1/50th of the sun’s UV radiation to pass through the fabric, which is significantly less than regular cotton. While no sun protection is 100% foolproof, our rashguard is designed to provide reliable protection for water sports and activities. We’ve had numerous customers who’ve used this product without reporting any issues related to sun exposure. However, as with any sun protection, it’s still essential to reapply sunscreen, especially after swimming or sweating. We hope this information helps, and we appreciate your feedback!
