Nurshafira Abdullah –
I recently purchased the Mares Dagger and I’m extremely satisfied with its performance. The PVD-treated stainless steel blade is extremely sharp and holds its edge well. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to wear and the quick release system is secure and easy to use. I’ve worn it on my arm and it doesn’t feel too bulky.
Nurhidayu Mohamed –
The minor negative comment I have is that the quick release system can be a bit finicky to use at first, especially when wearing gloves. However, this is a minor issue and doesn’t detract from the overall quality of the product.
Emily Tan –
I bought the Dagger for freediving and it has performed exceptionally well, the micro-serrated shearing edge is perfect for cutting fishing lines. However, sometimes the belt clip can be a bit tricky to attach.
Evelyn Koh –
Has anyone tried using this knife for underwater photography? How does it fare in this regard?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for your question, Evelyn. While the Mares Dagger Dive Knife is primarily designed for spearfishing and freediving, several of our customers have successfully used it for underwater photography. The knife’s PVD-treated stainless steel blade appears to perform well in this application, and its ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip even when wearing dive gear. However, we don’t have extensive feedback specifically on its performance for underwater photography. If you’re interested in using the knife for this purpose, we’d love to hear about your experience!

Samantha Tan –
Can the blade be easily replaced if it becomes dull over time?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for reaching out to us, Samantha. The Dagger dive knife’s blade is designed with a PVD-treated stainless steel, which makes it resistant to corrosion and durable. However, like any other blade, it may become dull over time. Fortunately, the blade is replaceable. You can contact our customer service to inquire about purchasing a replacement blade. We’d be happy to help.

The Mares Dagger is a versatile knife that can be worn in various places. However, it does feel a bit pricey for its quality.
Samantha Koh –
Will the Dagger perform well in different water conditions?

We understand your concern about the Dagger’s performance in different water conditions. The Mares Dagger Dive Knife is designed for spearfishing and freediving, and its construction allows it to excel in a variety of underwater settings.
