I’ve had mixed feelings about the Coral Wetsuit so far. On the plus side, it’s incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear. However, the heat retention could be better, especially in cold water. For the price, I expected a more premium material.

Just bought the Coral Wetsuit and I’m loving it so far. The thickness of 0.5mm may seem thin, but it’s surprisingly durable and resistant to snags. The only thing that could be improved is the color selection – more vibrant options would be great!

While the Mares Coral Wetsuit is designed for tropical dives or as a layering option, it may not be the best choice for diving in cold water due to its 0.5mm thickness. However, the Metalite fabric used inside the Coral does help retain heat. We recommend checking out our thicker wetsuits, such as the Quattro or the 3D Flex, for colder water conditions. Although the Coral is designed for warm water diving and is quite thin at 0.5mm, it does have a decent level of heat retention thanks to the Metalite fabric. However, when it comes to protection against marine life, we would recommend pairing the Coral with a rash guard or other protective gear for added protection. Been owning the Coral Wetsuit for a month now and I must say, it’s been a game changer for my diving trips. The heat retaining quality is top-notch and I can wear it under other suits without any issues. Minor gripe is that it can be a bit stiff at first, but once it stretches out, it’s perfect.
