Shermaine Tiong –
The Mares Amara 20 Gloves have been a game-changer for my scuba diving sessions. The 2mm neoprene and ultra-resistant Amara on the palms and fingers provide excellent grip and protection. I’ve used them multiple times and they’ve held up well to the wear and tear. My only minor complaint is that the adjustable Velcro strap can be a bit stiff at first, but it’s not a major issue.
Fiona Low –
I’ve been looking for a good pair of gloves for scuba diving and the Mares Amara 20 Gloves seem like a great option. What are the benefits of using ultra-resistant Amara material on the palms and fingers?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for considering the Mares Amara 20 Gloves for your scuba diving needs, Fiona. The ultra-resistant Amara material on the palms and fingers provides several benefits, including improved grip, durability, and resistance to abrasion. This is especially useful when handling underwater equipment or navigating through rocky or coral reefs. Additionally, Amara material is also relatively easy to clean and maintain, which can be a practical advantage. Would you like to share more about your experience with the Mares Amara 20 Gloves, or have any other questions? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
Evelyn Martin –
Are the Mares Amara 20 Gloves suitable for cold water diving? I’ve heard mixed reviews about their performance in icy conditions.
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for your review, Evelyn! The Mares Amara 20 Gloves are designed to provide durability and protection in water conditions. However, their performance in icy conditions may vary depending on several factors. The 2mm neoprene material can provide a good level of warmth in colder waters. Additionally, the ultra-resistant Amara palm and fingers can help protect your hands from abrasions and rough surfaces. That being said, if you’re planning to dive in extremely cold waters (below 50°F/10°C), you may want to consider additional insulation or gloves specifically designed for cold-water diving. We recommend checking the product’s specifications and reviews from other customers who have used the gloves in similar conditions. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask. Others may also be interested in knowing your experience with the gloves in cold water.
Chris Lee –
The Mares Amara 20 Gloves are great for warm water diving, but I’m not sure if they would be suitable for cold water diving. Has anyone used them in colder temperatures?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Mares Amara 20 Gloves, Chris! We appreciate your honest feedback. Yes, several of our customers have used these gloves in colder temperatures, and they’ve reported satisfactory performance. However, it’s worth noting that the 2mm neoprene material may not provide the same level of insulation as thicker gloves. If you’re planning to dive in cold water frequently, we would recommend considering a thicker glove option. That being said, if you have any further questions or would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always here to help.
Jessica Leong –
I recently used the Mares Amara 20 Gloves during a cold water dive and they performed exceptionally well. The gloves kept my hands warm and the grip on the handles was excellent. I was impressed with the durability of the gloves and the adjustable strap made it easy to get a good fit.
Eric Tan –
The Mares Amara 20 Gloves are made from 2mm neoprene, is that sufficient for colder water temperatures?
Imran Hanafiah –
Thank you for your question, Eric. The 2mm neoprene material in the Mares Amara 20 Gloves is a good balance between flexibility and warmth. While it may not be sufficient for extremely cold water temperatures, it should be sufficient for temperatures around 15°C to 18°C (59°F to 64°F). However, if you plan to dive in colder waters, you may want to consider additional insulating layers or more heavy-duty diving gloves.
