The Mares Abyss 52X Regulator is designed to be user-friendly, but it does require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of the regulator. To start, we recommend rinsing the regulator with fresh water after each use to remove any salt or debris. Every 12-18 months, you’ll also want to inspect and clean the regulator’s internal components, including the O-rings and valves.
